When students return to class at The Brooklyn Charter School after Mid-Winter Recess on Monday, February 26th, they’ll find that there are plenty of activities waiting for them as well as their parents. Take note of these notable school events happening at the end of the month through March.
Board of Trustees Meeting
The Trustees of Brooklyn Charter School will meet at the school on Feb. 26 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting is open to the public to attend and is scheduled to last an hour.
School Fundraiser
A new fundraiser will kick off the week of Feb. 26. Details will be provided that day to you and your children.
ELA Afterschool Test Prep Class
Students in the third through fifth grades will be taking this test prep class every Monday starting through March 26. ELA Interim #3 will be held on Wednesday, March 21 and Thursday, March 22.
Math Afterschool Test Prep Class
Third through fifth grade students also will take these classes every Wednesday throughout March and April. Math Interim #3 will occur Tuesday, March 27 and Wednesday, March 28.
School Picture Day
On Monday, March 5th, make sure your child is dressed in uniform to take part in this event. Students in the fifth grade will be taking cap and gown pictures as well.
Brooklyn Botanic Garden Field Trip
The first class field trip following the mid-winter break will be on Tuesday, March 6, to Brooklyn Botanic Garden. The 52-acre facility should be blooming with the natural beauty of its many flowers and plants that students can observe and learn more about during their tour.
School Spirit Day
Students will get to dress up in a theme to be announced on Thursday, March 29. Please have your child dressed appropriately to help celebrate the fun. This comes two days after the end of the third quarter and a day before the start of Spring Recess on Friday, March 30.
